Why is it that I fight against God’s word? When something doesn’t fit what I want there is a struggle. I don’t like to give in. It’s not that I want to beat up on God, but I will push back. I think that I share a mindset with Balaam and Saul of Tarsus. All three of us push back on God’s direction. Now I haven’t had a light blind me, or a donkey speak to me, but I’ve “heard” God speak very plainly in various circumstances. He has reminded me to tell other people “Thank you” for the impact that they have had on my life. I’ve been sporadic at best in executing this, but God wants me to be aggressive in my pursuit of appreciation. So I need to get on the ball. And I’ll keep an eye on any nearby donkey.
