The Hebrew writer refers to a will as a legal document held in reserve until the death of the one who wrote it. I don’t know if God initiated the concept or merely used this human legal invention to teach us a truth about the way he works. We know that the purpose of the will is to provide an inheritance for the beneficiaries. Under the covenant given to Moses God identified the beneficiaries of his will as the people of faith based around the nation of Israel. I’m wondering if Christians fall under that list of beneficiaries?
