Jeremiah 25-27

It took me 15 minutes to read this passage.  Chapter 25 gives an idea of some of the frustrations with which Jeremiah must have dealt.  For 23 years (25:3) he had been proclaiming the words from God, and very few people in Judah has heeded his warning.  Because of their hard-heartedness the will be 70 years of captivity (25:11).  Chapter 26 gives us a picture of Jeremiahs character.  He knew whom he served, and was willing to give up his life to proclaim his message.  God called Jeremiah to depend upon him, and when the prophet did; God did not disappoint him.  We can learn a lesson or two from Jeremiah.
