Most people have John 11:35 memorized; “Jesus wept.” But how many recall the summary of Mark 7:33 and 8:23? Jesus spat. I don’t think I had recalled the close proximity in record or the similarity of Jesus’ actions. A deaf mute and a blind man where healed when Jesus spat. If we throw in the record of John 9:6 we know that Jesus used his saliva at change the lives of the people he touched. Is there any great spiritual lesson in this trivia? Maybe knowing how real of a person Jesus was. He spat.
