The statement of 2 Kings 14:27 not only shows the faithfulness of God to his promises, but also gives us a small picture of his grace. If he was not willing to destroy Israel after generations of rebellion by their leaders and the people will not God’s grace last the life time of a Christian who falls into similar struggles. Does that mean that we have license to sin? No. But it does tell us that God is very eager to forgive those who claim his name.
