The genealogies in the beginning of the Chronicles (they continue for 5 more chapters) teach us a very important lesson about inheritance; it was traced through the sons. When we read in the New Testament that we are all sons of God by the grace of Jesus’ blood we can take encouragement in that. For God didn’t just adopt us as his children, he adopted all Christians as “sons”. Therefore his inheritance has been passed on to us regardless of our gender.
It took me about 15 minutes to read this passage.
