It took me almost 15 minutes to read this passage. In verse 12 of chapter 10, God’s angel sends a message of reassurance to old man Daniel; “…since the first day that you determined to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words have been heard….” I don’t know if Daniel 1:8 is the time of which the angel spoke, but often times we forget that God sees our faithfulness; even when no-one else does. Our prayers are not heard because of great acts of heroism, our prayers are heard because of the simple act of faithfulness.
