This has been a long and difficult day. I finally got some quiet time, while waiting on some work problems. It took me about 20 minutes to read these 4 chapters and 1 psalm. The passage in 2 Kings addresses the fulfillment of God’s judgment against the family of Ahab, king of Israel. He spilt a lot of blood, and in blood his inheritance was removed from Israel. It is in the darkest time of life that we sometimes fail to see God’s providence at work. However, that’s all I saw in the reading at such a late hour.
